To prevent steel from corroding when exposed to moisture, salty air, acid contact or chlorine, you need more robust steel grades with additional added elements. Chemists, food technologists, process engineers, aircraft, ship and mechanical engineers need corrosion-resistant steel. Over 12% chromium content strengthens the corrosion resistance of the steel.

Stainless steel includes our softer but highly resistant austenitic steel grades (V2A/V4A). In addition, our moderately durable martensitic and ferritic materials, which can be highly strengthened by specific thermal treatment.
