Unalloyed quenched and tempered steel has a very high degree of purity and is suitable for applications with low requirements or small cross-sections.
Unalloyed quenched and tempered steel is mainly used in vehicle production and in general mechanical and plant engineering. Whether bolts, screws or shafts for power transmission: Unalloyed quenched and tempered steel must not be subjected to excessive stresses.
Due to its medium carbon content, unalloyed quenched and tempered steel is suitable for tempering and hardening. Compared to the untreated condition, this significantly improves the material properties.
