Grade EN AW-5083
Aluminium – magnesium alloy in pressed or cast version, according to DIN EN 515 / 573 /
Typical applications for this material are automotive and vehicle construction, as well as railway vehicles. Very good corrosion resistance in seawater and common weather conditions also make applications in these areas possible. EN AW 5083 is also easily weldable (MIG/TIG).
It is not possible to harden this material.
