Material 1.4104
Stainless bar steel in rolled, forged or bright version in quenched and tempered condition (+QT650) according to DIN EN 10088.
Due to its controlled sulphur content, material 1.4104 is particularly suitable for machining. A higher chromium content also leads to moderate corrosion resistance. Typical areas of application are screws, nuts and shafts and generally components with a high machining content. The tempered finish ensures homogeneous properties defined in the corresponding DIN standard. The associated increase in hardness and strength makes applications with medium stresses possible.
