Material 1.4418
Stainless bar steel in rolled or forged version, quenched and tempered (+QT) according to DIN EN 10088 and DIN EN 10272.
Material 1.4418 is one of the martensitic corrosion resistant chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels and has a high strength with good toughness properties at the same time. Corrosion resistance in aggressive media is also quite high for a martensitic steel. Typical applications include shafts and axles as well as pump parts in the automotive and chemical industries. 1.4418 is also used in the aerospace industry.
The quenched and tempered finish ensures homogeneous properties defined in the relevant DIN standards.
