Material 1.2343

Hot-work steel for highly stressed tools according to DIN EN ISO 4957.

Used frequently in the production of light metals, e.g. for extrusion tools such as punches and dies. Dies in the forging industry as well as cylinders and pistons are also typical applications. If an even higher wear load is required, material 1.2344 should be considered. The commercially available version is annealed (+A). For special requirements, material 1.2343 can also be offered in remelted form (ESU) and in accordance with DGM guidelines.
