Material 1.4122
Stainless bar steel in rolled, forged or bright version in quenched and tempered condition (+QT750) according to DIN EN 10088.
The martensitic material 1.4122 is characterised by an increased corrosion resistance which is achieved by adding nickel and molybdenum. Due to its moderate carbon content, medium hardness values can be set, allowing applications with wear stress to be realised. Typical components are, for example, cutting tools, but also valves or shafts in pumps. The tempered finish ensures homogeneous properties defined in the relevant DIN standards.
